TRUE BLUE ... Didier Drogba
Didier Drogba, Chelsea and Ivory Coast
TWO-TIME African Footballer of the Year Award winner Dider Drogba is nominated for the prize once again despite a somewhat frustrating year at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea forward had a difficult start to the 2010/11 season after a bout of malaria and went a spell of 11 games without scoring in the New Year following the signing of Fernando Torres.
Drogba came off the bench to score at Old Trafford in the Champions League quarter-final second leg in March, but Chelsea went out of the competition on what was Drogba's 300th appearance at the club.
The Ivorian still ended the season with 13 goals and his combined total of goals and assists was the second highest by any top-flight player last term.
But the 33-year-old has managed just four appearance and one goal this campaign.
