WINNER ... Samuel Eto'o with 2010 award
THE African Footballer of the Year shortlist was announced today with Premier League players dominating the ten-man list.
Chelsea's Didier Drogba is in the running to win the prize for the third time, with fellow Ivorians Yaya Toure from Manchester City and Arsenal's Gervinho.
Queens Park Rangers' mercurial winger Adel Taarabt also makes the shortlist along with Asamoah Gyan, the Sunderland striker now on-loan in the United Arab Emirates.
And Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o will be looking to retain the crown after his big-money move to mega-rich Russian outfit Anzhi.
