Rose Byrne is on the brink of something big -- really big. It’s something the doe-eyed Australian actress has surely heard before, thanks to a string of roles in major films like Troy, Sunshine and Knowing (not to mention her Golden Globe-nominated performance in the hit FX legal drama Damages). Yet household name status has eluded the talented actress -- an aberration she’ll surely rectify in 2011 when she stars opposite Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph in the comedy Bridesmaids before going to superhero school in the highly anticipated prequel X-Men: First Class. In the meantime, Byrne is said to be dating the gangly, bespectacled creator of The Office, simultaneously giving hope to gangly, bespectacled men everywhere.
