In theory, Rashida Jones should be easy to resent. Her parents are uber-producer Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. When she was growing up, Michael Jackson and Steven Spielberg were her parents’ regular house guests. She was voted most likely to succeed in high school, excelled as a student at Harvard and grew up to be the kind of effortless beauty that most women would sell their souls to become. Even her breakout role, as the scandalous other woman in the Jim-and-Pam love triangle on NBC's The Office, should have been ire-inducing. Instead, Jones has staked her claim as one of the most likable actresses in Hollywood; she’s a charming, witty performer whose talents have admitted her to comedy's testosterone-heavy clubhouse. To complement her crush-worthy role as nurse Ann Perkins on NBC's critically acclaimed Parks And Recreation, Jones is set to have a banner year on the big screen, with upcoming roles in four highly anticipated comedies: My Idiot Brother (in which she'll rejoin her I Love You, Man co-star Paul Rudd); Friends With Benefits; the star-studded, Jason Segal-penned The Muppets; and finally, The Big Year, which may or may not be accurately sum up Jones' impending 2011.
