It's easy to hate Lea Michele's character on Glee, the over-achieving keener Rachel Berry, whose raging ambition is matched only by her killer voice. But Michele imbues her character with an underlying vulnerability and clandestine sexuality (for proof, check out her racy GQ photo spread) that's impossible not to love. Glee is a bona fide phenomenon, and Michele is its breakout star. She was included in Time magazine's 2010 list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World, and it won't be long before we see the Broadway veteran (who appeared in Les Miserables at age eight and was also the first to play the role of Wendla in Spring Awakening) display her considerable talents on the big screen. First up: a role in the rom-com New Year's Eve opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, and a slew of other heavyweights. At this point, Lea Michele‘s career is beginning to look like a bullet train. Next stop: superstardom.
