Maria Sharapova is a female firecracker who lights up the tennis court with her fast moves and sleek, sexy body. As comfortable on the tennis court as she is in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, she rebounded from a 2009 injury and several inconsistent efforts to make the fourth round of both the 2010 U.S. Open and Wimbledon. Finishing the season ranked at No. 18 in the world, Sharapova capitalized on her hot status by inking a record-setting $70 million endorsement contract with Nike. In advance of the 2011 Fed Cup, where she will represent Russia, she also returned to her homeland, Chernobyl, as part of her association as Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations.
