It's been two years since Slumdog Millionaire made Freida Pinto an overnight sensation, and she's since proven that she's no one-hit wonder. After the unexpected success of Danny Boyle's Oscar-winning Dickensian fable, the previously unknown Mumbai native became one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood, a rare feat for an Indian actress. Pinto's regal beauty and undeniable talents have attracted marquee directors like Julian Schnabel (Miral) and Woody Allen (You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger), each of whom employed the former model in a small (but prestigious) film in 2010. Her star power is sure to surge in 2011 with the release of Planet Of The Apes-prequel, Rise of The Apes, in which she'll star opposite James Franco. Many thought Freida Pinto would fade once the hype surrounding Slumdog settled down, but, clearly, it was only the beginning.
