Once upon a time, Natalie Imbruglia was best known as the cute crooner of the 1998 smash hit “Torn.” While the Australian singer continued in music and acted in films like Johnny English and Closed for Winter, she never duplicated the popularity of her initial musical splash. Natalie Imbruglia’s second chance at popularity came from judging music rather than performing it. Taking a page from the Paula Abdul playbook in 2010, she joined the judging panel on The X Factor in Australia, encouraging results that subsequently earned her a Silver Logie nomination from TV Week for Most Popular TV Presenter. Her return to relevance has been solidified.
