Dejan Lovren’s wife embraces Liverpool spirit

Dejan Lovren may have endured a forgettable first season at Anfield, but the defender’s wife is certainly embracing the Liverpool way.
 
The Croatia international struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in Brendan Rodgers’s side after a mixed start to the 2014/15 campaign.
 
Lovren did enjoy a flurry of starts in the Premier League towards the end of the season after Mamadou Sakho was kept sidelined with injury.
 
And his wife, Anita, posted a message for her Instagram followers – and perhaps her husband, too – on her page on Monday evening.
 
She wrote on the photo-sharing app: “…walk on walk on with hope in your heart and you’ll never walk alone…”

Lovren was omitted from Croatia’s recent squad for their 1-1 draw with Italy in their Euro 2016 qualifier.
 
The 25-year-old moved to Liverpool in a £25m deal from Southampton last summer after an impressive season at St Mary’s.

Lovren made 26 Premier League appearances for the Reds last term despite his patchy form for the five-time European champions.
