Liverpool beat Arsenal and Tottenham to Belgium star
Liverpool have won the race to sign Lille striker Divock Origi

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has pulled off a coup by landing the sought after Belgian teenager for just £6million, from right under the noses of Arsenal and Tottenham.

The 19-year-old has earned rave reviews at the World Cup and scored five goals in 30 Ligue 1 games last season.

Rodgers has earmarked the forward as back-up to main strikers Daniel Sturridge, Luis Suarez and new signing Rickie Lambert, and Origi could return to Lille on loan next season.

The striker will become Brendan Rodgers’ third capture this summer, following the arrival of Lambert from Southampton and Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.
