Liverpool are considering a swap deal with AC Milan to bring Diego Lopez to Anfield, which would see Mario Balotelli remaining at the San Siro, as per Calciomercato.
6ft5 ex-Real Madrid goalkeeper Lopez is considering his options potential destinations, of which the Premier League is the most possible.
Balotelli has been on loan in Milan since the summer after a failed season on Merseyside following his arrival under former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers.
Liverpool have not greatly missed his services, as the Italian scored just one Premier League goal in 16 appearances last term.
The Italian striker has made just four Serie A appearances this season, scoring one goal and creating nine chances along the way.
Lopez is currently out of action with a tendinopathy. The report outlines his relationship with the club is at an all-time low and he’s keen to move on.
Simon Mignolet is Liverpool’s current main man between the sticks. Although, he recently made a high-profile mistake against Bordeaux in the Europe League, showing his flaws.
According to the report, Jurgen Klopp is keen on upgrading his goalkeeping department sooner rather than later.
The German is approaching his first transfer window at the helm of Liverpool with ins and outs a possibility at Anfield.
