Though most people pretend to take pleasure in watching Lindsay Lohan self-destruct, deep down we're all a little sad about the very public demise of America's would-be sweetheart. We're not sure if we can say the same thing for Malin Akerman, the fresh-faced Toronto-bred actress who will be replacing Lohan in Inferno, the long-gestating Linda Lovelace biopic. Akerman's previous film credits include The Heartbreak Kid, Watchmen, The Proposal, and Couples Retreat. These are mostly vanilla compared to what we can expect from Inferno, about the drug-addled Deep Throat star whose husband forced her (allegedly at gunpoint) into a porn career. The question now becomes "Is Malin Akerman a method actress?" and if so, does she need someone to help her bone up for the role?
