Portsmouth vs Oxford United - Gareth Evans and Nathan Thompson return for Pompey
Posted Friday, March 23, 2018 by PA
Portsmouth will welcome back Gareth Evans and Nathan Thompson for the home clash with Oxford.
Evans has been missing with a hamstring injury but has returned to training while Thompson has served a four-match ban.
Stuart O’Keefe (hernia) remains out, along with Oliver Hawkins (knee).
Pompey are searching for their first home win of 2018 at the eighth attempt.
Oxford begin life under Karl Robinson.
The U’s finally ended a two-month managerial search on Thursday by appointing Robinson, who had left his position as Charlton manager just hours earlier.
Robinson will have to assess strikers Wes Thomas (ankle) and Jon Obika (groin) after they both suffered injuries in Saturday’s win over Peterborough.
Gino van Kessel is on international duty with Curacao while Ivo Pekalski continues his staged comeback after cruciate knee ligament surgery.
