Chelsea are desperate to beat Manchester United to Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko
Starsport exclusively revealed last weekend that the Red Devils had agreed a fee for the Monaco star.
Bakayoko, 22, looked set to join Chelsea all summer but United are now trying to beat the Blues to the France international.
Reports last night suggested Antonio Conte hopes to land the midfielder before the end of the week.
Both clubs negotiating a transfer fee and Bakayoko's knee injury have held up the move.
And according to the Evening Standard, Chelsea are determined to beat United to the Ligue 1 star.
They say the Blues desperately want to land Bakayoko after missing out on Romelu Lukaku.
The Everton talisman completed his £75m move to Old Trafford yesterday, penning a five-year deal.
The Standard add that Conte was furious when the news broke of Lukaku's move to United.
They say the Chelsea boss doesn't want to lose out again and the Italian is ready to fight for Bakayoko.
