Bartomeu to Verratti: Barcelona are waiting for you until August 31

Barcelona haven't thrown in the towel when it comes to their pursuit of Marco Verratti, club president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, sending a message to the Italian that the Blaugrana will wait until the last possible moment of the window to sign him if that's what it takes.
Despite the intransigent stance of Paris Saint-Germain, who are still refusing to sit down and negotiate, the Catalans won't give up and hope that eventually Nasser Al-Khelaifi agrees to a move.
"We are going to wait until August 31," Bartomeu said in a message to Verratti on Saturday.
The president is aware that the recent words of the player are part of the game orchestrated by the French club.
PSG forced Verrati to say publicly that he was happy in Paris to counteract the words of his representative.
Di Campli had said the previous day that PSG was a jail for the player.
However, Verratti's position hasn't changed.
He wants to play in Barcelona and will continue to try to get the Paris club sell him, meanwhile, he will have to toe the line.
