Monaco star Fabinho will sign for Manchester United, according to Emanuele Giulianelli
MANCHESTER UNITED will sign Monaco star Fabinho this summer, according to journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
Fabinho is on Manchester United's radar after a stunning season for Monaco last term.
The Brazil international was a regular in Leonardo Jardim's side as they ended Paris Saint-Germain's dominance of French football.
Fabinho made 50 appearances across all competitions for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring 11 goals along the way.
Despite team-mate Bernardo Silva leaving for Manchester City - and star man Kylian Mbappe being linked with just about every European club on the planet - more Monaco players are expected to leave.
United and Premier League rivals Manchester City have both been backed to sign the player.
But journalist Emanuele Giulianelli says that the Red Devils WILL win the race for the 23-year-old's signature.
"Fabinho will be a Manchester United player soon," he said on Twitter.
"I don't believe in the rumors that tell different things. Let's see."
Fabinho's versatility could appeal to United boss Jose Mourinho as he seeks to turn the Red Devils into Premier League title contenders.
He can play at right-back, central midfield and as a wing-back.
The player's father, speaking back in February, said his son had been in talks with United as well as City and Arsenal.
He told French TV show J+1: “We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal & approached by Barcelona.
"We like Manchester United & Mourinho's work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City."
