Bayern Munich are the latest European superpower to be linked with a big-money move for Dele Alli despite Tottenham Hotspur wanting a world record fee for the midfielder.
According to the Telegraph Munich have been monitoring Alli for a considerable time and are pondering a summer move for the 20-year-old, but are aware it will be difficult to convince Spurs to part with the youngster.
Alli only signed a new five-year deal with Spurs in September and the club have already insisted that none of their star players will be allowed to leave until they have played a season at the team's new stadium, which is due to open in time for the 2018 season.
Daniel Levy believes Alli's age, potential and current ability gives the midfielder a value of over the £85 million Tottenham received from Real Madrid from Gareth Bale, meaning it will likely take a world record amount to prise the player from north London.
Bayern's interest in Alli has been standing since his days at MK Dons and the German giants believe his recent goalscoring form and versatility make the youngster comparable to Thomas Muller.
Tottenham and Alli are likely to have conversations about yet another new contract in the summer with both sides not wanting to unnerve his current good form.
