Real Madrid president Florentino wants Benzema sale (and he knows it!)

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants Karim Benzema sold this summer.

While he's been an ever-present for coach Zinedine Zidane, Perez has been unimpressed by Benzema's form this season and his deteriorating relationship with fans has made up the president's mind.

Zidane continues to protect the striker and even had to deny that he gave Benzema 'special' treatment in contrast to other Real strikers like Alvaro Morata.

Perez and several directors have agreed they must sell Benzema, but the decision won't go down well with the coach.

El Confidencial says Perez's plans have also reached the player, who is personally hurt by the plans.

Benzema was again jeered by home fans during victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday.
