Antoine Griezmann now odds-on to join Manchester United this summer

Antoine Griezmann is now odds-on to join Manchester United this summer, following speculation over his long-term future at Atletico Madrid.

Griezmann is at his shortest odds yet to make the switch to Old Trafford at the end of the season, coming in at 10/11 at Ladbrokes. This comes after strong speculation suggesting that the French international has agreed a deal in principle with United, as he continues to impress under Diego Simeone.

The no.7 star has steadily developed into one of the world's best players at the Vicente Calderon, playing a key role for both club and country last year in reaching the Champions League and Euro 2016 final. While he suffered defeats in those games, his efforts could well be rewarded with a big money switch to England this summer.

Jose Mourinho's men failed to gain ground on the sides above them last night, drawing 0-0 with Hull City at Old Trafford, but the Griezmann situation is certainly positive news.

"United may have dropped the ball last night on the pitch, but off it they're got no such problems with Griezmann now more likely than ever to become a Red Devil," said Richard Marsh of Ladbrokes News.

The 25-year-old has scored eight goals and created 29 chances in 19 La Liga appearances this term, with a shot accuracy of 57%, as Atletico sit fourth on 36 points, six behind Sevilla in third.

Meanwhile United sit sixth in the Premier League on 42 points from their 23 fixtures, four adrift of the top four.
