ATLETICO MADRID are ready to make Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez their star man next season with Antoine Griezmann expected to leave for Manchester United, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho is keen to land the French striker and Manchester United are doing all they can to make him their marquee signing this summer.

Griezmann is reportedly yet to decide on his future, but it seems Atletico already think he will leave and are making plans to replace him.

And according to The Sun, Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez is their priority target.

The Chilean is yet to agree a new deal with the Gunners and Atletico are ready to take advantage of the situation.

The report suggests Atletico officials have already opened talks with the forward's representatives to sound out the possibility of a move.

Sanchez currently pockets £160,000 a week at the Emirates, but Diego Simeone's side are willing to offer him £220,000 a week in order to persuade him to move to the Spanish capital.

The 28-year-old will reportedly wait until Arsenal make him an offer of a new contract before deciding on his future.
