The shamed former England international is being encouraged to re-train in another profession after being found guilty of child sex crimes.

It will cost the fallen star, who used to take home more than £3million a year, just £4 to enrol in a variety of schemes.

Johnson, 28, will have the chance to take lessons in different sectors, including construction, gardening, tailoring and TV repair.

The celebrity lag could also opt for a programme that will give him qualifications in gym instruction , performance and nutrition and sports and recreation.

They will be on offer to the ex-Sunderland winger when he is transferred from current nick, Armley jail in Leeds, to Moorland Prison, near Doncaster, South Yorks.

He was expected to serve his sentence at notorious HMP Frankland, near his home in the north-east, but experts though it was too risky as he would be targeted by violent lags.
