Messi to marry Antonella Roccuzzo

A very Blaugrana wedding is to take place in the coming year as Lionel Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo have affirmed their plans to get married.

Having been mulling over the idea for some time, the couple will take the leap at a time convenient to Messi's footballing career, meaning a ceremony in either the summer or winter of 2017.

Most likely held in the forward's native Argentina, where he met Roccuzzo while they were both youngsters, a number of Barcelona players and staff are set to attend the special day.

The nature of their relationship was only made public in 2007, with the model moving to Catalunya in 2010 before having his two children; Thiago, four, and Mateo, who is one.
