Serge Gnabry took to social media to explain his reasons behind opting to join West Bromwich Albion on loan from Arsenal on Friday.
The German youngster has opted to move to the Baggies on a season-long loan deal as he bids to gain some valuable first-team minutes in the Premier League with Tony Pulis’ men.
He explained the reasons behind his move via a post on Instagram on Friday.
He shared the photo above and wrote: "Dear fans, I decided to leave on loan for @officialalbion.
"I see this as a great opportunity to work on my playing experience and the new club will be the perfect environment for me! 😊 Looking forward to the new challenge! #wba #bpl"
Gnabry endured a frustrating season last term and failed to make a single appearance for the Gunners after struggling with injury.
Gnabry’s last first-team appearance for Arsenal came during their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich back in March 2014.
He has made a total of 13 first-team appearances for the north London side since joining the club from VfB Stuttgart back in 2011.
The attacking midfielder has two caps for Germany’s Under-21 side and is yet to represent his country at senior level.
