Celtic captain Scott Brown could well be in trouble with boss Ronny Deila, after being snapped drunkenly slumped outside a nightclub, just days before the League Cup Final, reports the Daily Mail.

The 29-year-old was sat on the pavement looking worse for wear on a night out in Edinburgh, after allegedly touring a host of lap dancing clubs with a group of friends.

He was reportedly told by one bouncer to sober up.

His club are yet to comment on the matter, but it is unlikely to escape their attention with such an important game on the horizon. Celtic will face Dundee United for the second of four consecutive clashes between the two sides.

The first meeting, in the Scottish FA Cup, ended in a highly controversial 1-1 draw, where four players - two for each side - were sent off, including Celtic centre-back Virgil van Dijk, and United's Paul Paton, who had their dismissals overturned on appeal. Both players will be available for the game at Hampden Park.
