Official Chelsea Instagram account takes dig at ex-Liverpool stars Carragher & Souness

This is quite unbelievable from an official Chelsea account.

After Chelsea’s defeat to Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night, the Sky Sports panel at Stamford Bridge took aim at the Blues gamesmanship.

Much of the criticism centred around how the Chelsea players got Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off with ex-Liverpool stars Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness quick to criticise Jose Mourinho’s side.

On Friday, Jose Mourinho returned fire in his pre-Southampton press conference, arguing that Carragher and Souness in their playing days acted just as Chelsea have done this season.

And, on Saturday afternoon, with four Premier League matches in full flow, Chelsea posted the image above on their official Instagram account.

Chelsea tagged the images: “For those with short memories…”

The somewhat blurred images show Souness and Carragher in spats with referees during their coaching and playing days respectively.

In truth, its a surprise that they only found one image of Souness like this!
