Forfar 3 : 3 Airdrieonians - Six-goal thriller at Station Park
Posted Sunday, August 11, 2013 by PA
Paul McManus's brace was not enough for all three points as Forfar and Airdrieonians drew 3-3.
The hosts drew first blood in the 17th minute when Gavin Malin swept the ball past Airdrieonians stopper Colin Stewart from the middle of the box.
The Diamonds hit back 15 minutes later when forward James Lister got on the end of Lewis Coult's cross to head home from close range.
And they took the lead three minutes after the break when William McLaren tucked the ball past Darren Hill from the left side of the area, but the lead did not last long.
Substitute McManus's deflected strike drew Forfar level five minutes later and he then slotted home a second within 60 seconds to make it 3-2.
But he game took another turn 11 minutes later when Coult's low drive made it 3-3.
