England bowler Liam Plunkett spoke on Monday (29th August), as his team-mates trained ahead of the third One Day InternationaI versus Pakistan on Tuesday (30th August).
SOUNDBITE: (English) Liam Plunkett, England bowler:
"We still need to improve. We've won the last two games but we know we've not been at our best which is a good sign cause we're still winning but we know the Pakistanis are going to come back hard, they're a good team. The last one (day international) was closer than it should've been but we're looking forward to the challenge and, hopefully, we can seal it tomorrow (Tuesday)."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Liam Plunkett, England bowler:
"It's at that place where everyone in the team wants the other person to do well and when you've got that I think you succeed and we've shown that every time we come to practice everyone is looking to improve. We're not just sitting on our laurels. So, I think we're in a good place. We want to win this series and we've got the tour coming up this winter and you've got to keep improving in different conditions and obviously next year the Champions Trophy is here, which is good for us."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Liam Plunkett, England bowler:
"I'm in a situation where you want to play every game. You don't want an excuse to be rested. You want to take a five-wicket. You want to contribute, you want to get the sixes to win a game. You want to turn up every day and try and win a game and that's my mindset at the minute. I'm not relaxed cause I've been playing the last series or this series as you know a dip in form and someone else comes in, so I am happy but I still want to improve and working on the skills in one-day cricket."
