SOUNDBITE: (English) Azhar Ali, Pakistan ODI captain: (about coming the number one Test team)
"It's a massive boost, a very proud moment for Pakistan cricket and the whole nation is very happy about it, and as a team we are happy about it and as a team for us. Obviously, one-day rankings are not so great right now, but we will take the opportunity of how the Test team has performed to take it into the one-day series as well, that will be great for Pakistan cricket."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Azhar Ali, Pakistan ODI captain:
"Really good because every two years before the World Cup we come here, before 2019, so it's a good opportunity for us to keep in touch with the conditions and it's an opportunity for us to come to the Champions Trophy as well. We have played some cricket before that so that is good and important. And this series is really important to how we are going to move forward. We have a lot of challenging series coming up, especially against Australia in Australia, so this series should be good for our confidence."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Azhar Ali, Pakistan ODI captain
"We are all very confident. Nobody rated us very highly, a few people said we could be competitive, but there were doubts that we could win the Test matches here, but the boys really believed in that in the Test matches and also we believe here (in the one-day series) we can do it."
