Team GB's Nicola Adams talked on Sunday (21st August) of her delight at retaining her Olympic flyweight title at Rio 2016 and becoming the first British boxer to achieve the feat in 92 years.

"It's absolutely amazing, creating history almost every time I step in the ring now. I felt really good yesterday, overwhelmed with joy and emotion stepping on the podium and thinking of all the hard work the last four years, of training and dedication has all been for this one moment, and I was able to get that gold medal. "

" I think this time around I was definitely a lot more confident and a lot more all-rounded athlete and I have the experience now. I have been to an Olympic games before. I know what it's like to qualify for an Olympic games. So yeah I just felt a lot more confident and a lot more experienced going into this one. "

"And we have actually got more medals than what we did in London, so - hey, we are doing well."
