Former Pakistan Test cricketers Zaheer Abbas and Javed Miandad were among hundreds of people who attended the funeral of legendary batsman Hanif Mohammad on Friday (12th August).
SOUNDBITE: (Urdu) Shoaib Mohammad, son of Hanif Mohammad:
"My father told me from childhood that whether someone likes you or not, you should be polite. Hanif Mohammad has never said no to anyone who wanted to learn cricket, whether he liked him or not. He taught every cricketer. He had a great personality and will always remain a great man. I don't think I will meet such a human being for the rest of my life. I have never seen such a great man in my entire life."
SOUNDBITE: (Urdu) Zaheer Abbas, former Pakistan cricketer:
"It's a very unfortunate day for cricketers and for the whole Pakistani nation. Such a big legend has left the world and I hope the rules of cricket he had taught us and what we have given to the youngsters will be followed and everyone will walk on the footsteps of Hanif Mohammad. Every Pakistani cricketer should be like Hanif Mohammad, the way he thought and the way he had performed.
