Team GB athletes Greg Rutherford and Jo Pavey look ahead to the athletics at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jo Pavey (on the ban on Russia in the athletics)
"I think that the IOC had an opportunity to really send out a strong message that doping won't be tolerated so I think it was a shame when they passed the buck to the individual sporting federations because you think with the time scale that we had left, how on earth could they have had time to really guarantee that the Russians that were here, are actually clean and also I think, the thing is, your heart goes out to any Russian athletes that are in fact clean but i think you have to think that they have been let down by their actual home nation. I mean you hear of doping in sport but an actual state sponsored system in the way that was uncovered and also the McLaren report showing that it was across 30 sports is totally unprecedented and we need to send out that strong message."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Greg Rutherford (on Darya Krishna of Russia having been cleared to compete because she has been based outside Russia for so long)
"No I haven't spoken to her again as I'm not on that sort of terms with her at all. It's a very interesting scenario and I think we'll see how that plays out and how it's taken, I guess, by everyone else in the stadium. With regards to the whole Russian issue it is always a problem for the people who have never been involved with the state doping, and you would like to think with Darya that the fact that she has been based out of America for such a long time now, it would be very very difficult for her to be involved in something like that so you always like to believe the best in people and I just hope that she has a fantastic Games and cracks on with it but it's going to be a very interesting event I think having her there under the circumstances."
