SOUNDBITE (English) Sebastian Coe, President, International Association of Athletics Federations:
"This is work that started at the beginning of the year. There has been wide scale consultation, hundreds of hours of discussion and I think what we have in front of us, as has been agreed by the council half an hour or so ago I think will make a very big difference to the future of our sport."
SOUNDBITE (English) Sebastian Coe, President, International Association of Athletics Federations:
"Russia has let down their athletes, we have not banned athletes, this was a cataclysmic failure to oversee and protect those athletes and me and my council's object now, focus, is for the reinstatement of the Russian Federation and their athletes back into competition but we do have to go through a process, we do have to make sure that as and when the time is ready for that, that it is because, as the president of the IOC has said, because we have a level playing field."
SOUNDBITE (English) Sebastian Coe, President, International Association of Athletics Federations:
"The legacy in London was across a whole series of areas and if you look at some of the infrastructural changes that have taken place in Rio off the back of the Games, particularly around transport but also around the way sport has been used to work very hard in some hard pretty hard-pressed communities I think this legacy is a strong one."
