The head of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Vladimir Lukin, spoke to a Moscow radio station on Wednesday (10th August) and said he hoped that the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne might still allow Russian athletes to compete at the Rio Paralympic Games - but time is short.

"Now everything depends on them (the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne). The main problem is time, it all needs to be done by the end of August, the court must have a decision by then."

"All the athletes keep training and we are dealing with many other issues, like uniforms that have already been bought, tickets booked, etcetera. But at the moment we act as if there aren't any problems and are waiting for the decision of the court."
