Mickey Arthur said on Monday (1st August) Pakistan are feeling confident ahead of third test against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Micky Arthur, Pakistan coach:
"Yeah, the overriding feeling is still one of confidence. The guys have been excellent. We dissected Manchester. We had some good, hard conversations around our performance there, and one of the things that we've always said is that we want consistency in our performance. And I thought we were outstanding at Lords and we were very poor at Manchester. That's clearly not what we want."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Mickey Arthur, Pakistan coach (on bowler Yasir Shah):
"I think Yasir will be a force on any surface. We discussed lines with him. We thought he was a little bit too quick at Old Trafford, we thought he need to get a little bit slower. We've had a look at (Alastair) Cook and (Joe) Root again and analysed our plans against them. What we did well, what we didn't do well. We obviously see Cook and Root as fundamental to England's batting."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Mickey Arthur, Pakistan coach (on Younis Khan):
"He works extremely hard at his game. He's incredibly professional. I've been fortunate enough to work with a lot of really good professionals and Younis Khan's right up there. He really is, the way he analyses his batting, video tapes his batting. Goes home - watches it every day. He knows exactly what he's doing - we've had the odd conversation around his technique - but he's over 10,000 test runs. He knows what he's doing."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Mickey Arthur, Pakistan coach (on Ben Stokes):
"What really impressed me with Ben, he gave them an edge. He is a tough nut. he keeps running in, he's hard. He's at you all the time. He gives England a really competitive edge."
