SOUNDBITE (English): Alex Sampao Lerionka, Kenyan sprinter:
"We are here preparing for the Olympics. I am really happy because it's the biggest event in the world, it is my first time and I just landed here miraculously because this year I didn't do any best time but because of last year's qualification time, my best of last year, I did it several (times) because I did in the national and All Africa Games, and also in relays. It was a good experience to do those international races that has made me in the team, so I am very happy and very proud to be in the Olympic team."
SOUNDBITE (English): Alex Lerionka Sampao, Kenyan sprinter:
"For me, I expect to do my best and to improve my person best. According to the analysis of the coach (Vincent Mumo), he has been telling me there is a change every time we train. He has been telling me 'today, you have improved', there is no day when I have dragged down from the previous training, so I feel I am going to do my best and do the the best of my ability compared to what I am doing now. I am sure that my PB (personal best) is going to change."
SOUNDBITE (English): Alex Lerionka Sampao, Kenyan sprinter:
"Doping has its consequences. You know that's a substance, a drug. A drug is something that you take when your body is functioning abnormally, but you are normal and you still need to take that drug? According to what I have heard and what I have seen, that thing can torture your life in future. There is no need for you to hurry these things(success). You can have these things and money will come easily. I can assure you, what comes easily will go easily."
