Reaction after India captain Virat Kohli hit an impressive unbeaten 143 to help his team to 302/4 at the close of play on day one of the first test against the West Indies in North Sound, Antigua on Friday (21st July).
SOUNDBITE: (English) Shikhar Dhawan, India (on batting with Virat Kohli)
"Of course, he has played tremendous innings. Scored a century and then continuing, scoring big runs of course hopefully tomorrow he is going to come and score 150 and then double century also for us. It feels good to bat with him, we both were rotating the strike and scoring runs at good pace, so I feel that made a difference because we got hundred runs partnership in just 121 balls or something. So that was a good thing and of course it is always a pleasure to watch Virat (Kohli) playing, he way he hit the drives, the way he times the ball is really nice."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Shikhar Dhawan, India (on him not getting a century)
"Yeah, I feel sad, disappointed that I got out, especially when I was set and scoring runs, at that moment I had spent a lot of time in the middle. But at the same time I'm happy that I started on a good note and would like to carry on my good performance in coming innings or coming matches."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Devendra Bishoo, West Indies (on West Indies being under pressure after first day)
"No, I don't think we are under any pressure at all...the game could change just like that. It was a tough day for us but you never know tomorrow morning we could come and ...we are going to come and put the work in, put the work in.."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Devendra Bishoo, West Indies (on West Indies' bowling performance)
"I think Shannon (Gabriel) bowled really good upfront today, he started out very very well, I think he bowled with great pace. Yeah, that's about it. The rest of bowlers as I said, bowled good in patches. But we need to be a bit more patient because the wicket is good."
