Sri Lanka prepared for the fifth and final ODI against England in Cardiff on Friday looking to end a series they've already lost with their first win.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Farveez Maharoof, Sri Lanka:

"It's been a tough series losing the Test series as well as the one-day series, but you know we just have to go again, one more game to finish out the one-day series so I think it's up to us to showcase our talent, the willingness to win so I think (the) boys are up for it and hopefully give it a good shot tomorrow."

"I think our batsmen have been doing a decent job up to now. If you take the last game, I think it was a good score, but just that as a bowling unit we just couldn't hit our straps pretty well so I think England managed - not taking nothing from the England batting line up, they've been batting brilliantly you know from top to the middle order they've been in pretty good form all the batsmen so it's been tough work. So as I said it's just one of those things that we've got to fight again and go hard there tomorrow."

"I mean in my career I've seen and I've played against a lot of games against England and I think this side has really good depth in batting, especially bats up to number 10 or something like that so I think that's been a really special, the biggest difference I would say. They're pretty much more attacking than before I guess a few years back so I think it suits them. They're doing well, they're on a good run at the moment so as I said it's a good team and we're up against a good team so we just have to come again and go hard again, and hopefully get some momentum on our side and carry on."
