Fast bowler Mohammad Amir was named on Sunday (5th June) in the Pakistan squad for the forthcoming four-Test series against England.
SOUNDBITE: (Urdu) Inzamam-ul-Haq, Pakistan chief selector:
"Mohammad Amir was named, but selection is subject to the visa and God willing I hope we get the required visa by next week".
SOUNDBITE: (Urdu) Inzamam-ul-Haq, Pakistan chief selector :
"We can replace him with a fast bowler, from our training camp. It could be from the Pakistan A squad which will also be touring England. The A squad have matches before our Test matches start. It could be that if some bowler performs well in the A team in England, we can select him for the Test series."
SOUNDBITE: (Urdu) Inzamam-ul-Haq, Pakistan chief selector:
"If you see Sohail Khan's first class performances, he has done very well and that's the criteria of his selection. He came into the training camp and we observed him, we organised boot camp and some other training. We've also asked trainers about his fitness and attitude before selecting him for the Test matches."
