Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has passed away aged 74 it was confirmed on Saturday (4th June). SNTV takes a look at his iconic fights in Zaire and Manilla.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Muhammad Ali:
"I'm too fast, I'm too skilful, the little kid was in the Olympics when I was fighting people like Sonny Liston, when I was fighting Joe Frazier he was in the Job Corps. The man don't know nothing and I'm going to show everybody out there watching the show and the whole world and the world will bow and admit that I am the greatest of all times when you see what I do to George Foreman. I'm just getting hot thinking about it."
These were the words of the late Muhammad Ali before his fight with George Forman in October 1974.
The fight in Zaire was dubbed the 'Rumble in the Jungle' and is one of the most iconic moments of Ali's career.
Forman was the major favourite, with some even saying they feared for Ali's life.
For the first few rounds Ali soaked up punches and leaned on the ropes, in a tactic he later called "rope-a-dope".
Then Ali sprung to life in the eighth round and sent Foreman sprawling to the canvas to regain the heavyweight championship of the world.
Another of Ali's most famous victories came a year later in the so called 'Thrilla in Manila' against Joe Frazier.
The fight was the most brutal of Ali's career, and the closest he's come to death in the ring according to the man himself.
In testament to Ali's spirit and strength he won out after 14 gruelling rounds.
For many these will be the moments Ali is best remembered for.
