Former Australia captain Michael Clarke, speaking in Hong Kong on Friday (27th May), said he was all set to return to cricket after a year of retirement.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Clarke, Australia former captain (on his returning after announcing retirement):
"When I announced my retirement, it was from international cricket. So I am really happy with the time I retired from playing for Australia and now that gives me the opportunity if I want to play some domestic competitions like this, to travel around the world and play some Twenty20 cricket."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Clarke, Australia former captain (on whether he would be playing more Twenty20 cricket):
"Look, I'm not sure, and that's why I come to Hong Kong to be able to help the men's and women's team. Help Hong Kong cricket and also play in Twenty20 tournament. Then after I've played this tournament, I will be able to have some time to assess and work out if I am want to continue to play the Twenty20 cricket around the world."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael Clarke, Australia former captain (on getting back to fitness):
"Well I feel fit and healthy. I have done a little bit of training over the last few weeks in preparation for this. So we'll wait. I'll know either tomorrow or Sunday, hopefully I can make a few runs and help my team have a success."
