England bowler Stuart Broad believes that the current England Test squad deserve a chance to shine against Sri Lanka following Ashes victory and a series win in South Africa.

"I think so, yes. With the Test squad being announced this morning you can see that there is some consistency there and a couple of new guys that have had excited starts to the season. I think the players have been rewarded for a pretty successful last eight or nine months. Obviously winning the Investec Ashes lasts season was a huge achievement for the team, for a young team, and going to South Africa with the quality of players that they have, to win there, it's just something that is really hard to achieve in a players career. So to have done it as a group of guys is special so I think that the same group of guys deserve a chance this summer."

"I think it gives us confidence as a team that we can compete with people. I think people didn't give us too much of a chance before the tournament started and I thought that the way the guys played over there was fearless and they took everyone on head to head and I think that is something that we can take through every format of cricket. If we go out there and play and just try and show off our skills really in front of a wide audience of people, and enjoy doing that, I think that's a good mantra for us to have across all formats."
