The West Indies trained at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday (30th March) ahead of their ICC World Twenty20 semi-final meeting with tournament hosts India.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Darren Sammy, West Indies captain:
"The guys who predicts the result and stuff, I think they say it's 80/20 to India, so it feels like David and Goliath, but people tend to forget David won the fight. So, it's something similar to that, and.... look, we enjoy playing against India, (a) number of players play here. We have a lot of respect. The camaraderie in the group.... well, in both teams are really good and.... yeah, we're looking forward to that, and what better place to play (than) right here here in Mumbai, one of the best wickets in India."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Darren Sammy, West Indies captain:
"We have players who play all around the world with a lot of experience, and.... yeah, I think it's a combination of both tactical awareness as a captain and the personnel in dressing room. When you have somebody like Chris Gayle in your dressing room - who I think is the best T20 batsman in the world, his record speaks for itself - and on the other hand you have somebody like Virat (Kohli) in India's team, and MS Dhoni, (Suresh) Raina and all these guys, and you call it, the players we have in our team: (Dwayne) Bravo, (Andre) Russell, (Samuel) Badree, (Sulieman) Benn, all these guys, its a good combination which allows you to win cricket matches."
