Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg both went out in the semi-finals as Daniel Juncadella won the first Stars and Car Cup at Mercedes-Benz's celebration of 2015 in Stuttgart on Saturday (12th December).
SOUNDBITE: (English) Lewis Hamilton, 2015 F1 world champion (on if there was any particular great moment in his year):
"I think the year is made up of a lot of days. It's the days that you wake up feeling great, it's the days you get messages from fans, that are positive. It's the day you meet a kid who's inspired by something you do or have said. Or it's the day that you go to your factory and you see the vast group of people who are working towards helping you become a world champion. Or it's when you see your family and your nephew or your nieces. There's been so many great experiences throughout the year and really I feel like it's been a year full of blessings."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Lewis Hamilton, Three-time F1 world champion (on a Christmas wish):
"No, I have no wishes for anything. If I was to wish for something it wouldn't be for myself, it'd be to...the world is in a difficult state right now so it would be hoping that the world can calm down for at least a while and everyone can be more loving."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Nico Rosberg, 2015 F1 runner-up:
"I had many great highs this year, very emotional moments. Unfortunately I didn't manage to win the championship so that was a disappointment but it's behind and now I look forward and I look forward to more opportunities in the future. Unbelievable though what Mercedes has achieved this year in the racing world. They've won absolutely everything so I'm proud to be a part of that and phenomenal job."
