David Haye says his comeback is "about legacy, how I am remembered in 50-100 years time" and he wants to become "the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world".
He will face Mark De Mori in London, England on January 16th and the Australian questioned David Haye's appetite stating "I just don't know after a shoulder reconstruction how hungry he can be to get back in the ring, when you can easily stay at home in your mansion."
SOUNDBITE: (English) David Haye (Q: Mark De Mori has questioned your hunger and says you should 'stay at home in your mansion?):
"It's not about material goods, what I've got and what I haven't got, it's about that burning desire deep in here, deep in my heart to fulfil what I know what I can do and that's to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. I've done it once at cruiserweight, I've gone up to heavyweight, fought the biggest ever heavyweight champion in history (Nikolai Valuev) , beat him. I tried to unify against Vladimir Klitschko and I lost that fight on points. I believe if I got back in the ring with him again, you know with this Hayemaker 2.0, with no injuries, healthy, I believe I will capture the heavyweight championship again and it's not about material goods, what I have, what I don't have. It's about legacy, how I am remembered in 50-100 years time, this is what the next chapter in my career is about."
SOUNDBITE: (English) David Haye (Q: Is there a danger that if you look past De Mori and at Klitschko that you could get caught out?):
"One hundred per cent, you can't be overlooking anybody, particularly someone as good as De Mori. He hasn't lost in eleven years, 26 of his 30 victories have come by knockout, so someone with a record like that you can't look past them because they can throw big shots. He's proved, particularly his left hook, it's pretty dangerous and I am going to need to be at my best to get through this fight unscathed."
