Mark Webber led Porsche to FIA World Endurance race victory in Shanghai on Sunday (November 1) - and helped the German marque clinch the manufacturers' title.

The penultimate round of the FIA World Endurance Championship took place in a wet and murky Shanghai on Sunday.

And - once again - the plaudits belonged to Porsche.

Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley clinched a hard-fought and gruelling win to extend their title lead in the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship by scoring a third consecutive victory.

But the conditions were testing as the two Porsche cars of Webber - on the right of screen and Roman Dumbs on the left - sandwiched the Audi.

Webber coming off the best from that collision.

Driving the Porsche 919 Hybrid, Mark Webber crossed the finishing line ahead of the sister No.18 Porsche 919 Hybrid driven by Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb and Neel Jani.

With the No.18 Porsche finishing in second place, Porsche clinched the 2015 FIA World Endurance Manufacturers' Championship.

Mark Webber of Porsche suggested the challenging conditions made the Manufacturers' title all the more sweeter.

"Yeah, I think to win the Constructors (Championship) today is Porsche's day. A one-two, what style to get it in off the front row. Really, really tricky race for everybody, strategy, drivers... dealing with the back markers and very tricky offline as well. So very, very tough endurance race today 1000-ks (kilometres), so we have definitely earned the champagne tonight and so have Porsche. Porsche have come into this series, they have shown the way. Sensational technology, incredibly quick car. We are not going to rest on our laurels, we will be back of course to defend the Constructors next year, but next weekend we have got to get a drivers' World Championship as well."
