Script:
BMW dominated Race One at Oschersleben on Saturday and they were primed to do so again on Sunday with Augusto Farfus and RBM team-mate Tom Blomqvist on the front row of the grid.
Blomqvist surged into the lead off the line with new championship leader Pascal Wehrlein losing third place to Felix da Costa and then fourth to Marco Wittman going into the chicane.
Not everyone made it through the chicane with Audi drivers Miguel Molina and Nico Mueller forced to retire after respective collisions with Vietoris and Lucas Auer.
Martin Tomczyk picked up a drive-through penalty for dangerous driving in the pits as he came out of his box alongside Paul Di Resta and refused to yield in the pit lane.
Wittmann eventually passed da Costa for third which left the Brazilian to fend off the attentions of Wehrlein.
The Frenchman was unable to force his way past as BMW filled the top four just as they had on Saturday.
With one lap to go, Lucas Auer crashed heavily into a tyre wall and the race finished under a red flag.
Blomqvist and his RBM team celebrated a one-two with the 21-year-old Briton securing his first DTM victory.
Wehrlein now leads Matthias Ekstrom by 14 points in the drivers' championship with Edoardo Mortara a further 16 points back.
The penultimate round takes place in a fortnight in Nurburgring.
