SuggestedLeadIn: 400 metres world champion Wayde van Niekerk targets a visit to Anfield, as well as appreciating his IAAF World Championship Olympic gold medal, as he speaks to SNTV on Thursday (27th August), a day after the Liverpool fan's glorious run in Beijing, China.
Script: "I stayed up a little bit late, and I think I tried to stay up for the first half (of Arsenal versus Liverpool match which kicked off 03:00 a.m. Beijing time). But I knew I need to go and sleep soon because I need to get my rest. But I am just so glad that we didn't lose to Arsenal. We are still undefeated for the year which is quite good for me. I am quite excited to see what the guys have, having in store this year. Luckily now I opened up some doors, hopefully I can go and watch the guys live on one of these days. I am really excited for that. I mean I will back the team all the way."
"I would really love that. I mean, obviously Olympics (in Rio) is going to be first priority. So when I have an open space I would love to consider doing something like that. But right now I just need to focus. But as soon as I get that invite, or get that opportunity to do, I am not saying no towards that! I have been always wanting to go and watch a Liverpool match. I don't even care it is against another lower teams, I just love to support my team when they playing. And, I am an all out supporter, I get quite emotional about the games I get, I am sad when the team is sad. I am excited when they are excited. I am really glad that I can give that recognition and I show them, I back them."
