Reaction following the men's long jump final on day four of the World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China on Tuesday (25th August).
Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Greg Rutherford, Men's long jump winner:
"Yeah. It's not bad to win a world title as well. I am absolutely over the moon. I have had a tough year at times. At the start of this year was awful for me - I'll be honest. And a few things have happened which have been really tough for me and my family. And we came out the back end of it. Worked incredibly hard. Family and friends are the most important things in my life and I am very lucky to have a beautiful 10 month old son called Milo and a beautiful girlfriend Suzy who looks after him like the incredible mother that she is. My mum and dad are incredibly special as well. My dad downed tools. He stopped working for other people for a while and come and built me a long jump runway in my back garden. I did pay him! He's an incredibly special man and somebody who has always supported me from day one and it gets me a little bit emotional being able to do this for him and it's a special time in my life. And I have got that grand slam of medals now."
Q. "You join a pretty elite list of British athletes (Linford Christie, Sally Gunnell, Daley Thompson and Jonathan Edwards)"
"It's not a bad feeling to be honest. Some of the most famous and some of the most successful British athletes of all time and I never really picture myself as one of them to be totally honest. I think every time I win something - someone tells me that I didn't win it well enough! So I think jumping 8.41 in a major final I think that is winning well enough to be perfectly honest and every single jumper who is the best jumper in the world was here at this major championships. And I managed to come away with a gold medal in the end again so I am hoping that no one has anything to say negative about it to be honest because I don't think I could cope."
