"For me, I live for competition. I have told you guys many times that for me when it comes (to) the competition I always rise to the occasion. I look forward to it and it's much more fun. And it makes the sport exciting so, for me, to find out that Justin Gatlin was running fast and I came here as the underdog was a great lead up to the championship."

Q. Do good guys finish first? What do you think about being the good guy?

"I don't look at it like that. I look at it as - I came here to do a job and I did it. For me, I am just showing the world that the sports - you can do it clean and just continue working hard like any athlete does."

"I feel like I am out here and I am representing my country and I am happy to do so. I'm glad I have my medals. There's a lot of people who wish they have medals. I am glad I have mine."

"It feels good. It is always electrifying here. You know, the Bird's Nest is a special place to come out and run."

Q. There was a strange run up to the start - before everyone was talking about good versus evil and what were your thoughts?

"There's no good versus evil. I don't know why people keep talking about this. I am a runner. He's a runner. I going to run."

Q: And were you disappointed to finish second?

"There's no disappointment. I am just happy to get out here. Happy to run my countrymen got bronze. So we came out here and got one two."

"I can't ask for any more than that. It's been an amazing season from NCAAs to Pan Am. I didn't know how my legs were going to feel coming into this meet. I managed to pull it off and get a bronze medal. It's a great way to end my season."

"There's an amazing atmosphere. This is my first time in the Bird's Nest. The crowd was loud. I couldn't even hear myself. But when I walked in, I was like, 'Wow - this is bigger than a football - Superbowl stadium. I was like 'Wow'. And I went to an NBA playoff game and it was way louder than that so I was like wow."

"Definitely. I didn't have it to pull it off tonight and I am glad that Usain (Bolt) came back and he took it over because no one wanted the Americans to win. No one wanted Gatlin to win. I'm just glad that Usain had the legs to do it."
