A third big crash in Indianapolis 500 practice took place on Thursday, May 14th, when Josef Newgarden flipped his car.

SOUNDBITE (English): Josef Newgarden: "Just a tough hit, obviously, you know we got around pretty early in Turn 1. Not sure yet, I mean I'd like to get back to my guys and, you know, talk things over and see what the damage is - I'm sure it's not good, but just figure it out a little better myself, you know I'm fresh out of it so I don't really know anything yet myself."

Q: Pretty big hit...

"It felt big. It felt like a big hit. You know I feel fine but it's not anything you want to be doing around here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway so it's the first one I've had here but, you know, I guess it's inevitable, it's gonna happen and just it's not fun when it does, I can tell you that, so just try and pick ourselves up and get back going again. You know it's never fun for the whole team, I feel bad that we did that in the Century 21 car but hopefully we can get things back on program and just rolling forward again."
